Smart Tec Fire & Security operate throughout the UK offering Technical Engineering services, specialising in retail, commercial and education sectors. We offer a true design and build service to all sectors.

Position

We are searching for a Fire Alarm Engineer to join Smart Tec Fire and Security Ltd. Working alone, or with other Engineers within the team, provide professional and dependable quality of service to customer/contractors commissioning fire services in a timely manner. This will include setting up of cause and effects and completing the required commissioning paperwork. working away would be an essential part of the job.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Seeing Installation projects from design through to completion while reporting to project leads.
  • Commissioning of the following systems, including:
  • Advanced.
  • Apollo and Hochiki.
  • Kentec panel.
  • Door Access – Paxton, Pac etc.
  • Intruder alarm system installation such as Honeywell Galaxy
  • Complete the necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
  • Attend reactive warranty calls and breakdowns, including tracing and rectification of faults.

Requirements

  • Experience as a multi-disciplined Fire Engineer.
  • Experience with BAFE accreditation.
  • Experience of Advanced, Hochiki and other fire alarm systems.
  • Experience of commissioning would be an advantage.
  • Full driving license required.
  • Willing to travel throughout UK including overnight stays where required.
  • Flexible attitude and approach including excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, friendly and can conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • Works well as part of a team but also confident working independently and can fault find on most systems.
  • H&S trained.
