Ready to take the next step in your engineering career and help shape a growing department?

K2S Security Management provides CCTV and security services to the construction and commercial sectors across the UK. We’re looking for an experienced, self-motivated CCTV & Security Engineer who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems and wants the opportunity to make a real impact.

Alongside installing and maintaining security systems, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of our engineering department, improve how we work and help develop the department as the business grows. This role would suit a capable engineer who is ready for greater responsibility and a clear opportunity to progress.

The Role

You’ll install, maintain and service security systems across client sites throughout the UK, working independently and alongside our wider team to deliver reliable, high-quality installations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing IP CCTV systems, particularly Uniview, and Ajax alarm systems.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults with cameras, recording equipment, networks and associated security equipment.
  • Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
  • Taking ownership of installations from preparation through to testing, commissioning and client handover.
  • Helping improve installation standards, technical processes and equipment management.
  • Providing clear technical support and guidance to clients and colleagues.
  • Maintaining accurate service records and system configuration details.
  • Working safely and meeting site requirements.
  • Travelling to sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, organised and comfortable taking responsibility. You’ll use your initiative, approach problems methodically and care about getting the job done properly.

You’ll need:

  • Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining CCTV and security systems, ideally with at least two years’ experience.
  • A good practical understanding of IP CCTV systems, particularly Uniview CCTV equipment.
  • A good understanding of Ajax alarm systems, including installation, configuration and fault-finding.
  • Sound knowledge of networking, IP addressing and device configuration.
  • The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach with clients.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay away when required.
  • The ambition to take ownership of the engineering department and grow with the business.

It Would Also Be Great If You Have

  • Experience installing or maintaining solar-powered CCTV towers, including battery and remote-power systems.
  • Experience with remotely monitored CCTV and mobile connectivity.
  • Knowledge of access control, fire detection or other security systems.
  • Relevant qualifications or site certifications, such as ECS/CSCS, IPAF or PASMA.

What We Offer

  • £30,000–£35,000 salary, depending on experience.
  • Company vehicle and fuel card.
  • A genuine opportunity for career growth, with scope to help lead and develop the engineering department.
  • The chance to contribute ideas, improve processes and influence how the department operates.
  • Ongoing training and technical development.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Varied work within a growing security business.

If you’re a skilled engineer looking for greater ownership, responsibility and room to progress, we’d like to hear from you. Apply with your CV and a brief summary of your relevant experience.
