Security Systems EngineerJob Overview

Breedon Electrical, Fire & Security is looking for a motivated Security Systems Engineer to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in at least one area of electronic security who is looking to develop their skills across a wider range of systems. Full training and ongoing support will be provided in any disciplines you are less familiar with.

You will be involved in the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault finding of a variety of security systems, including:

  • Access Control
  • CCTV
  • Intruder Alarms
  • Lockdown Systems
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Automated Gates
  • Car Park Barriers
  • Automatic doors

Working across a variety of commercial and industrial sites, you’ll play an important role in delivering reliable, high-quality security solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service and maintain security systems within your area of experience.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ensure systems operate reliably.
  • Test and commission systems to meet industry standards and client requirements.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance visits.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and professionally.
  • Provide excellent customer service while working on client sites.
  • Complete relevant documentation accurately and support the wider engineering team when required.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in at least one of the security or fire disciplines listed above.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.
  • Has relevant industry qualifications (preferred but not essential).
  • Is keen to learn new skills and undertake manufacturer and industry training.
  • Can work independently as well as part of a supportive team.
  • Has good organisational skills and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
  • Has a positive attitude and a willingness to develop within the role.
