Full job description

We are a Heating and Plumbing company, (covering the Greater Manchester and surrounding areas. Our customers range from Estate Agents, Property Management companies to the General Public.

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Heating and Plumbing engineer to join our team.

  • The position is a customer facing role, focusing on Compliance, Repairs and Installations, all relating to domestic properties.
  • Salary will be £37,500 per annum, 40 hour per week, Monday to Friday. 22 days annual holiday, plus statutory holidays, Annual Christmas shutdown, Van and Fuel/Materials card. There will some flexibility required for overtime/weekend work when occasionally needed.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

- Boiler breakdowns and fault finding, repairs and installations

- Boiler servicing

- Landlord gas safety checks

- Unvented cylinders, repairs, servicing and installations

- Installation of battery operated smoke and CO alarms

- General minor plumbing repairs/installations

- Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.

- Provide exceptional customer service.

- To ensure customer property is respected at all times and work is carried out in a clean and tidy manner.

- Ensure jobs are completed to an agreed timescale.

- Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.

- "Can do" attitude, working with honesty and integrity

- Ensure all administration tasks are performed in line with company procedures.

Experience

- Domestic Heating and Plumbing : 5 years (Required)

- Experience of the requirements of health and safety legislation, including the use of workplace risk assessments.

- A good general experience of working in occupied premises

Qualification and skills:

- Must hold valid gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1 etc) (Essential)

- Full driving license (Essential)

- General IT skills, the candidate will be required to complete documentation related to work activities, which may include the use of laptops or PDAs.

- Ability to act independently, prioritise work and make intelligent but pragmatic decisions whilst having the judgment to know when to discuss and gain support from management.

- Understanding of individual domestic customers and the requirements of excellent customer service.

- Own PPA, tools and equipment required.
