Electrical Project Manager – FAEL Projects

Location: Brentwood Hours: Full-Time / Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Project Manager to lead and oversee our Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting (FAEL) projects across our contracts in Brentwood and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team working within commercial and social housing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of FAEL projects, including planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, certification and handover.
  • Lead project teams and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and health & safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, O&M files and progress reports.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, reporting any variances or issues promptly.
  • Carry out site visits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and implementing best practices.

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ L3 or equivalent in electrical installations and theory
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • Level 3 or equivalent in fire detection & fire alarms systems to BS 5839-1&6
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • ECS/CSCS card

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing electrical projects, ideally within the fire alarm and emergency lighting sector.
  • Experience delivering projects in social housing or commercial environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence.
