Role Overview

We are looking for Fire Alarm Service and service Engineers to work on commercial fire alarm panels within social housing buildings throughout the Lancashire region. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault finding, a wide range conventional fire alarm systems across social housing environments, job role responsibilities will also involve carrying out service and maintenance on other fire safety systems such as emergency lighting, AOV systems, BS5839-6 systems and dor guards/door retaining systems but not limited too. You will be responsible to our valued clients and fire systems, from simple standalone systems, through to large addressable panels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, Maintenance and Remedial works on a variety of Fire Alarms and other fire safety systems such as the ones mentioned above.
  • A good working knowledge of BS5839 Part-1:2025 & BS 5839 Part-6
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with fire alarms.
  • Provide technical support to customers as needed.
  • Understanding the clients’ needs and fulfilling all jobs required.
  • Keep accurate records of all work completed.
  • Covering all aspects of Fire Alarm Engineering

Experience Required

  • Minimum experience of 1 years in Fire & Security Engineering
  • Knowledge of fire alarm and / or security system installation techniques, equipment, and tools.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Minimum Level 2 trained Fire Engineer

Essential

  • Minimum Level 2 trained Fire Enginee
  • Experience commissioning advanced fire systems

Desirable

  • Knowledge of VESDA systems
  • BAFE extinguisher qualification
