Be the Voice of Tuntum Housing Association – Where Customers Come First

We are looking for a professional and resident-focused Customer Services Officer to join Tuntum Housing Association on a 9 month fixed term contract.

This is more than a front desk or call-handling role. You will be the first point of contact for our residents, leaseholders and stakeholders — setting the tone for every interaction and ensuring people feel listened to, supported and respected.

As a proud BME-led housing association with strong community roots, we operate within a focused geographical area, meaning your work has visible impact every day.

If you are calm under pressure, solution-focused and genuinely care about delivering excellent customer service, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

Reporting to the Customer Excellence Manager, you will:

  • Welcome residents and visitors, creating a professional first impression
  • Handle calls, emails and enquiries relating to housing, repairs, rent and estate matters
  • Resolve issues at first contact wherever possible
  • Support complaints, compliments and ASB reports in line with policy
  • Raise and monitor repair orders
  • Process payments and manage direct debit requests
  • Promote digital access and empower residents to self-serve
  • Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and regulatory standards
  • Contribute to achieving Tenant Satisfaction Measures

This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality, compliant and customer-focused housing services .

About You

You will be:

  • Customer focused and solution-oriented
  • Confident managing difficult conversations
  • Organised and able to prioritise competing tasks
  • Experienced in customer service, housing, council or similar public-facing environments
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office systems
  • A positive and collaborative team member

An understanding of social housing is desirable.

Why Work for Tuntum?

At Tuntum, we are small enough for you to make a real difference — but ambitious enough to invest in our people.

We are a people-first organisation with approachable leadership and a strong community ethos.

We offer:

  • 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 with service) plus public holidays
  • Your birthday off each year
  • Pension scheme
  • Westfield Health cover from day one
  • Access to Housing Perks
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • A supportive and inclusive working environment

Although this is a fixed-term role, it offers excellent exposure across housing operations, compliance and customer excellence , making it a strong opportunity to build experience and develop your housing career.
