Overview

Join our festive team as a fun and joyful Santa Claus, bringing magic, cheer, and warmth to children and families during the festive season! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to embody the legendary figure of Santa, spreading happiness through engaging interactions, storytelling, and festive performances. As Santa, you will create memorable experiences that bring joy to everyone you meet, fostering a sense of wonder and delight. Jobs will be at events at venues such as pubs, restaurants, hotels, also private bespoke experiences at people homes with our elves. Applicants must be over 45 years old with a playing age of 60+ to create an authentic character.

Responsibilities

  • Dress in full Santa attire* and maintain a cheerful, approachable demeanor at all times. Provided by the company.
  • Greet children and families with enthusiasm, creating a welcoming and joyful environment
  • Ability to work independently and also as a team as occasionally you will be performing with one of our elves.
  • Engage in lively storytelling, singing holiday songs, and spreading seasonal cheer
  • Perform light dancing or movement to entertain groups during events or photo sessions
  • Travel to various locations in Essex, so driver with own vehicle is necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and event staff to ensure a positive experience
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold the magical spirit of Santa throughout all interactions

Skills

  • Strong communication and improviisation skills with an ability to connect warmly with diverse audiences
  • Experience in acting a plus to enhance performances
  • Confidence in public speaking to address groups with enthusiasm and clarity
  • A lively personality with the ability to embody the joyful spirit of Santa Claus
  • Ability to follow directions carefully while maintaining a flexible, fun attitude
  • Previous experience in festive entertainment or similar roles is a plus but not required
  • Driver with own car to travel to jobs all over Essex.
  • DBS checked.
