Full job description

Beaton accountants are expanding and we are currently recruiting within 3 locations, Harold Wood, Essex, Colwyn Bay and Blaenau Ffestiniog. Successful candidates should be able to manage bookkeeping and accounting tasks, be confident using Sage Accounts, Xero and QuickBooks, this role would suit someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working across a broad range of finance tasks, with the full ability to help support across the whole business.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain accurate financial records for sales, purchases, receipts and payments.

· Process purchase invoices, supplier payments and customer receipts.

· Manage sales and purchase ledgers and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.

· Carry out regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

· Prepare and submit VAT information and assist with VAT returns.

· Use Sage Accounts, Xero and QuickBooks to record transactions and maintain up-to-date records.

· Assist with payroll processing, including entering pay data, checking calculations and maintaining payroll records.

· Maintain confidentiality and ensure records are kept in line with company procedures and relevant regulations.

Skills and Experience Required

· Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role.

· Good working knowledge of Sage Accounts, Xero and QuickBooks.

· Payroll experience would be an advantage, although not essential.

· Experience with bank reconciliations, VAT and ledger management.

· Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

· Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.

· Competent user of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

· Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with colleagues, clients and external contacts.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
