About the Company
Cubs Play Centre is a brand-new indoor soft play centre and café. Our mission is to create a safe and enjoyable environment for children while offering a welcoming and comfortable space for adults and caregivers. Our on-site café will serve high-quality food and drinks, and our team members will be trained to deliver professional, friendly and efficient service to all visitors.

Application Requirements
We are seeking an experienced and reliable individual to join our team as a Shift supervisor
The successful candidate must be available to start from end of May to allow for a thorough handover and onboarding period.
As part of our safer recruitment process, all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Basic DBS check and must be at least 18 years old with the right to work in the UK. Welsh language skills are desirable.

Job Purpose As Shift supervisor, you’ll play a key role in leading our customer-facing operations, from overseeing the café and reception areas to ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Reporting directly to the Business Owner, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the front-of-house team, maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the centre. Your role will be essential in creating a positive experience for both children and adults, reflecting our commitment to quality, safety, and exceptional customer care.

Key Responsibilities
- Liaise closely with the owner to ensure business goals are met.
- Oversee back-of-house operations such as compiling rota, monitoring kitchen paperwork and managing stock control.
- Liaise with the back-of-house team to ensure service runs smoothly.
- Be a keyholder and oversee opening and closing procedures.
- Lead and motivate a team to deliver consistently excellent service.
- Oversee performance to ensure all departmental KPIs are met.
- Assist with the recruitment and training of new staff members.
- Organise and implement events such as school trips or children's parties.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and compliance.
- Ensure safeguarding and health and safety policies are followed, and incidents are reported appropriately.
- Oversee the use of and manage the point-of-sale system.
- Handle any customer complaints and staff conflicts.
- Implement stock control and minimise wastage.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any necessary repairs.
- Capture and submit content for social media platforms.
- Support staff with rota, clock-in and time-off systems, and contact IT if technical help is needed.
- Provide any café or reception cover if required.
- Monitor the customer experience and identify opportunities for improvement.

What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service, coupled with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for both children and their caregivers. - Proven experience as a front-of-house, general or café manager in a busy, quality-driven environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage and develop a diverse team effectively. - A team player who is not afraid to ‘roll up their sleeves’.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and school holidays and overtime when required.

Experience
Minimum 1 year’s experience supervising a team within a hospitality environment is required

Work Location: In Person, Llangefni. Shifts: Day shifts in addition to evening parties. Weekend availability.
