Maintenance Assistant

Branston Golf and Country Club DE14 3DP

Hours: Part-Time 24 Hours Per Week

Branston Golf and Country Club have a vacancy for a part-time Maintenance Assistant to support our busy Maintenance Team.

Our Maintenance Assistant will undertake high quality day to day maintenance tasks and minor general repairs, to ensure the property at Branston Golf and Country Club is always in a good state of repair.

We are looking to recruit a Part Time Maintenance Assistant to work 3 days between Monday to Sunday. Working hours are between 07:00-19:00, occasional call outs may be involved to ensure compliance and standards are met effectively. The successful candidate must be flexible to cover the needs of the business.

Our Maintenance Assistant will ensure preventative repair schedules are maintained, have an eye for detail and a passion for fixing things. They must be a proactive, hands-on individual, with the ability to work autonomously, and meet deadlines.

Previous Maintenance/General Building experience is essential. You must be organised, an excellent communicator, and a hands-on individual with experience of working within a similar premium hospitality-based business would be advantageous.

The four main areas of the business are:

· The Pavilion which holds Weddings, events and conferences.

· The Clubhouse Restaurant which consists of the Clubhouse, Clubhouse Lounge and our newly launched Terrace Room Restaurant.

· Golf which includes our 18-hole championship course, our “Eagle” 9-hole course, Driving Range outfield, which was recently refurbished and now includes “Top Tracer” technology, as well an outstanding practice facility and short game area, and our woodland themed Adventure Golf Course, which opened in 2021.

· Health & Fitness which includes our state of the art Spin studio, newly refurbished gym with over £250,000 of Technogym equipment, over 100 group exercise classes per week, swimming pool, wet-side rooms, and outdoor hot tub.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant skilled trade, but not essential.
  • Successful and proven experience within a maintenance role.
  • Flexibility in terms of shifts, and able to adapt around the needs of the business.
  • Self-motivation, drive, have a proactive attitude and be results orientated.
  • Attention to detail and be an experienced problem solver.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • General repairs, which may include the following skills:
  • Carpentry,
  • Plumbing,
  • Minor electrical work,
  • Skimming,
  • Decorating,
  • General building knowledge,
  • Working from height,
  • Removals and manual handling,
  • Maintain swimming and spa facilities following receipt of training,
  • Maintain accurate records of tests and checks carried out and complete job request orders,
  • Ensure that all health and safety measures are followed, and that Branston Golf & Country Club’s policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
