You will play a key role in developing solutions on our agentic AI platform, working closely with the Workforce Portal Product Manager to design and deliver innovative automation and AI-driven capabilities across the organisation. Working alongside product, technical, and business teams, you will configure and optimise applications to support organisational and customer requirements, designing intuitive application interfaces, building business process workflows, and ensuring systems are efficient and aligned with business processes.

Supporting the development of high-quality business and consumer applications by combining configuration expertise with an understanding of business processes, data structures, and user experience design. The Configurator will assist with requirements gathering, documentation, reporting, and functional testing to ensure configured solutions meet operational needs

You will be reporting to the IT Service Manager.

To be considered for the the role you will require the following:

Essential Criteria;

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND TRAINING

  • Understanding of business process analysis and application configuration.
  • Good understanding of data structures and how they support business processes.
  • Understanding of UX design principles and usercentred design.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with configurable business applications or software platforms.
  • Exposure to requirements gathering or working alongside Business Process Analysts.
  • Experience producing technical documentation for systems and processes.
  • Experience performing functional testing of configured systems.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system configuration.
  • Strong documentation and organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business users.

OTHER JOB-RELATED REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to create clear technical documentation and process guides.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality applications

Desirable;

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Training or experience with low-code or configuration-based application platforms

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in front-end development, lowlevel application development, or similar technical roles.
  • Experience building workflows or business processes using visual configuration tools.
  • Experience supporting application UI or UX improvements.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • UI / UX design using HTML and CSS.
  • Client-side JavaScript and DOM APIs.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for reporting and data analysis.

Within this position, you will mainly be;

  • Configuring application interfaces and system settings to align with user profiles and operational requirements.
  • Designing and building business and application process flows using visual builder and workflow configuration tools.
  • Creating and maintaining system reports using reporting tools and basic SQL or equivalent querying capabilities.
  • Supporting requirements gathering activities by working with stakeholders and Business Process Analysts to understand business processes and system needs.
  • Translating business requirements into configured application workflows and system functionality.
  • Ensuring application configurations align with underlying data structures and support business processes effectively.
  • Applying UX design principles to improve the usability and accessibility of applications.
  • Supporting the development of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Performing initial functional testing of configured applications and features prior to wider deployment.
  • Documenting system configurations, workflows, and application functionality.
  • Collaborating with technical teams, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance existing applications, improving efficiency, usability, and performance.
  • Supporting the implementation of new system features and configuration updates.
  • Assisting in the continuous improvement of application functionality and user experience.
