We're searching for a Skopje-based Software Engineer II to join our Agile R&D team on a 9-month fixed-term contract, so that we can continue to build scalable and reliable software solutions that enhance patient safety. The Software Engineer II will translate business requirements into clean, maintainable code and resolve technical challenges to drive continuous improvement across our engineering projects and help shape the company's success.
How You'll Spend Your Time
- Develop clean, user-friendly, accessible UI components using semantic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) to create responsive, cross-browser web experiences.
- Translate wireframes, design mockups, and product requirements into functional user interfaces, applying sound UX principles and responsive layout techniques such as Flexbox and CSS Grid.
- Add and maintain interactive UI behaviour using JavaScript, ensuring consistent performance and usability across supported browsers and devices.
- Maintain and optimise PHP-based web applications, helping to ensure high system performance, reliability, and maintainable code.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve routine to moderately complex technical issues and code defects through systematic debugging and analytical problem-solving, delivering timely solutions within complex regulatory environments.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Quality Engineers to translate requirements into clear technical tasks, participate in group problem-solving, and adapt effectively when project information or technical requirements evolve.
What Kind of Things We're Most Interested in You Having
- 2–4 years of experience in professional software development with a focus on PHP and modern front-end technologies.
- Proven success in delivering high-quality features and bug fixes within an Agile squad environment.
- In-depth knowledge on how to translate wireframes and design mockups into working UI while maintaining web accessibility standards.
- Ability to commute to our Skopje office 2 days a week.
- Sincere interest in making a positive change in healthcare through innovative technology and data governance.
- A knack for working collaboratively within a fast-paced, matrixed SaaS environment.
By enabling flexibility in how we work and prioritizing employee wellness, we empower our team to do and be their best. Key benefits include private health and group accident insurance, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential support, and Loyalty Awards for long-service employees.
