Full job description

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Full-Time Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to join our supportive team at Elizavet. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career in veterinary care, working closely with our experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

This role is particularly suited to someone at an early stage in their career who is keen to expand their clinical skills. We are committed to supporting your professional development and will actively assist you in working towards qualification such as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Assist with laboratory procedures, including sample preparation, processing, and dispatch to external laboratories
  • Support pharmacy stock control, including receiving deliveries, stock rotation, and inventory organisation
  • Monitor, record, and provide supportive care to patients under the guidance of the Veterinary Surgeon and Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Provide occasional reception support, including processing payments, booking appointments, and communicating with clients
  • Participate in patient care outside of standard hours, including occasional overnight shifts when required
