Labcorp is seeking a Trainee Animal Care Technician to join our team in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 4pm, Friday 7.45am – 3.30pm. 1 in 3 weekends as overtime.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acclimatisation of animals to their surroundings.

  • Ensuring that animal enclosures are maintained.

  • Cleaning out kennels, pens and cages and changing bedding.

  • Exercising dogs and socialising with the animals.

  • Handling, feeding and watering animals.

  • Accurately recording vital animal information like body weights.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educated to GCSE Level or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Animal Care Level 2 OR Animal Management Level 3

  • Institute of Animal Technology qualification

Additional Job Standards:

  • Previous experience working with animals

  • Passion for our industry

  • Enthusiastic and committed attitude

  • Reliable, with a hardworking approach to the job
