Full job description

Snakes one day, exploding foam the next. Wild Science is looking for their next Animal Expert and Nutty Professor to join their growing team.

The job
Deliver both live animal encounters and hands-on science shows at schools, nurseries, care homes, libraries, SEN settings, and parties. You'll care for a collection of animals at home (we help with all of it) and run wow-factor experiments with the kit we send you. You bring the energy.

The deal

  • Employed: contract, holiday, pension. Full-time or flexible hours.
  • From £90/day, rising with each session.
  • Mileage (30p/mile) + £5 daily car allowance.
  • Bonuses: premium animals, named reviews, SEN bookings, Expert of the Month.
  • We provide everything: your uniform, a branded kit, all science equipment (stored at home), animal transport gear, and a fee for basic animal care.
  • We cover your DBS, £5m PL insurance, and Animal Activity License.
  • Full training and shadowing, plus a mentor and team chat — never on your own.

You'll need

  • Full UK license and your own reliable car.
  • To house a collection of animals at home and store science kits.
  • To be happy having an Enhanced DBS (we arrange it).

If you love animals and science, and are happy in front of a crowd, we would love to hear from you.

No experience needed; enthusiasm is a must.

You must be a confident driver and be able to keep animals at home. Sorry, we can't consider non-drivers or anyone who can't house animals.

Apply: CV + a quick note to jobs@wsonline.co.uk.

The interview would be through Teams. You would need to prepare a short spoken presentation (a 2- to 5-minute talk on your favorite animal).

If successful, training would be paid and would involve shadowing experienced team members.

Pay: £90.00-£200.00 per day

Benefits:

  • Flexitime
