Job Title: Junior Production Coordinator (Games)

Contract: Full-time, 1-Year Fixed Term with possible rolling extension (including probationary period)

Location: Office, Southampton, UK (Right to work required)

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Expected start date: ASAP

About Us:

Founded in 2016 by industry veterans Matt Cope and Mike Tucker, Bitmap Bureau is a game development studio based in Southampton. Bitmap Bureau are truly passionate about retro games and are dedicated to creating new titles that hark back to gaming’s golden era through 2D graphics, authentic packaging and a traditional hands-on approach to coding and development.

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated Junior Production Coordinator (Games) with great attention-to-detail to support multiple projects across game development.

This role is ideal for production assistants seeking to build more hands-on experience or junior production coordinators looking for their next opportunity in the games industry.

Candidates with a background in 2D animation production will also be considered, provided they can demonstrate a strong passion for transitioning into the games industry.

What we are looking for:

  • 1–2 years’ experience working in game development (or 2D animation production)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Literate in production workflows and tools
  • Must have the right to work in the UK

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Leads with internal and external reviews, track feedback and coordinate actions as required
  • Schedule meetings, send invites and reminders, and take meeting notes
  • Collect daily updates from the team to support weekly production reports
  • Maintain and update production management tools (e.g. Trello/Planyway)
  • Assist with updating production schedules and timelines
  • Support asset submissions to licence holders and clients
  • Collate, organise, and manage project assets
  • Assist the Lead Producer with server and file management
  • Assist executives with presentation preparation for shows and events
  • Maintain and update the crew holiday tracker
  • Support onboarding of new crew members

Skills & Software:

  • Prior experience using production management and FTP software
  • Computer literate, with confidence using common office and cloud-based tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
  • Experience with virtual meeting tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Hangouts, and Slack Huddles
  • Experience with Final Draft is a bonus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Games, Game Narrative Design, 2D Animation, Production Management, or a relevant creative, media, production, or humanities discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

Languages:

  • English (fluent)
