Overview

We are seeking skilled and reliable 2nd Fix Carpenters to join our existing carpentry team. The successful candidates will be responsible for completing the finishing stages of carpentry projects all across the country, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced carpenters to contribute to a variety of building projects, including commercial, and industrial developments. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background in carpentry and related trades.

We as a company are based in Kent with projects covering the south west, the south, London and Home Counties.

this ideally suits carpenters that are happy to travel or work away if need be and that can work alone or as part of a team

Hours are 7:30 - 16:00 mon - fri with Saturdays paid at time and a half and Sundays at double time

Responsibilities

  • Fitting fire doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves, and other internal fixtures with precision and care
  • Installing kitchens and bespoke items and other joinery components to specifications
  • Using hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials
  • Performing heavy lifting of materials and components safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations

Experience

  • Proven experience as a 2nd Fix Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication, assembly, joinery, and carpentry techniques
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, levels, and squares
  • Competence with power tools including drills, sanders, nail guns, and saws
  • Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling tasks
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or construction trades are preferred
