About Us

Graduate Recruitment Bureau (GRB) is an independent specialist recruitment agency providing first class recruitment solutions to organisations seeking first class talent. Established in 1997 by two Brighton University business graduates, we have grown organically and now have several divisions covering graduate level and experienced hire level roles. We operate nationally and have a turnover of over £5m and a diverse team of over 40 staff.

At graduate level we cover the following sectors: IT & finance, sales & recruitment, engineering, commercial, analytical and digital marketing. The GRB Group also consists of Metrica Recruitment (experienced hire analytical and IT roles) and our Recruitment Solutions (GRS) team who offer RPO, assessment centres, and advertising packages.

The Role

This exciting apprenticeship opportunity combines a 4-year business degree with hands-on experience in a dynamic early careers recruitment environment. You will develop valuable skills and knowledge while working closely with managing and principal consultants. This structured program offers continuous learning, coaching, and personal development from day one, enabling you to grow into a key contributor to our team.

You will begin by learning the fundamentals of recruitment a, rotating around divisions according to business need. Initial responsibilities will include:

  • Marketing job opportunities to our database of graduates, apprentices, and other candidates
  • Sourcing, screening, and selecting the best candidates using internal and external databases
  • Conducting telephone interviews to qualify candidate suitability and pitch relevant roles
  • Collaborating with consultants to match candidates with opportunities
  • Building specialist knowledge about the market and sector trends
  • Attending university fairs around the UK to represent the company and sign up new student talent

As your knowledge and skills develop, you will take on additional responsibilities such as account management and managing whole interview processes.

You will receive industry-renowned training and support throughout including group classroom training, individual coaching sessions, and desk-based learning alongside studying for a formal BA (Hons) degree at the University of Chichester. This will require you to travel to Chichester for one day per week during term-time which will be reimbursed by GRB.

About You

  • BBB or above in 3 A-level subjects or equivalent
  • English GCSE at grade 6 or above, as this role involves written communication
  • A collaborative and people-focused attitude
  • A confident communicator – this job is largely phone based, and whilst we’ll teach you everything you need to know, you need to be willing to pick up the phone!
  • A desire to progress and complete your degree whilst working
  • Willing to travel with overnight stays occasionally during university fairs season (expenses paid)
