Apprentice Tutor/Coach

Location: Remote / home-based, with travel as required

About the role

Projecting Success is looking for an experienced Apprentice Tutor/Coach to support learners through their apprenticeship journey, from onboarding and early progress through to gateway and end-point assessment.

This is a learner-facing role where quality, structure and consistency really matter. You will teach, coach and support apprentices, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for their apprenticeship standard. You will also work closely with employers and line managers to make sure learning is being applied in the workplace and that apprentices remain on track.

We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships with learners, manage a caseload confidently, give clear developmental feedback and maintain accurate records. The right person will care about learner progress, employer experience, compliance and high-quality delivery.

What you’ll be doing

You will deliver engaging teaching and coaching sessions to apprentices within your area of occupational competence.

You will manage an allocated caseload, keeping learners on track against their training plan, planned milestones and end-point assessment requirements.

You will carry out regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers, making sure actions, risks, support needs and workplace learning opportunities are clearly identified and followed up.

You will review apprentice work, mark assignments and provide constructive feedback that helps learners understand what they have achieved and what they need to improve.

You will support apprentices to build strong portfolio evidence and prepare for gateway and end-point assessment.

You will work with employers, line managers and mentors to support workplace learning, off-the-job learning and evidence of real workplace impact.

You will maintain accurate learner records, update systems on time and escalate any risks relating to progress, attendance, engagement, safeguarding, compliance or achievement.

You will contribute to quality improvement, standardisation, learner support and continuous improvement activity across the delivery team.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone with strong occupational experience in the area they will be delivering, combined with the ability to teach, coach and support adult learners.

You should be organised, confident managing your own diary and able to hold learners to account in a supportive but clear way.

You should be comfortable working with employers and able to explain what is needed from them to support apprentice progress.

You should also understand the importance of accurate records, timely feedback, learner evidence, off-the-job learning and compliance within apprenticeship delivery.

Essential experience

• Relevant and current occupational competence in the sector or standard being delivered.
• Experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, training or supporting adult learners.
• Experience managing learners, caseloads, deadlines or progress targets.
• Ability to motivate learners and support them to achieve agreed milestones.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide clear, developmental feedback on learner work.
• Confidence using digital systems for delivery, communication, learner tracking and evidence recording.
• Good organisation and the ability to manage your own diary.
• Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and maths, or willingness to evidence equivalence where required.

Desirable experience

• Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes.
• Teaching qualification such as Level 4 Award in Education and Training, Certificate in Education, PGCE or equivalent.
• Assessor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA, A1 or D32/33.
• Knowledge of apprenticeship funding rules, EPA requirements and government-funded training programmes.
• Experience using Bud or another learner management system or ePortfolio platform.
• Experience supporting learners through gateway and end-point assessment.
• Experience working with employers to support workplace learning and learner progression.

Pay: £35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
