Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Accounts Apprentice and kick-start your career in financial services! You'll work closely with experienced finance professionals, supporting vital functions within the accounts department. Duties

  • Assist with data entry tasks to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions across various platforms
  • Help maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as Quickbooks, Xero, or Sage
  • Collaborate with team members to reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports
  • Learn to operate and navigate accounting systems like Digita and Excel
  • Contribute to the organisation’s compliance efforts by ensuring documentation aligns with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and support
  • Prepare and file VAT returns and MTD for IT returns (where applicable) for staff

Skills

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Familiarity with popular accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks is highly desirable
  • Experience or willingness to learn data entry techniques with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures and financial documentation standards
