Full job description
We are currently seeking a HSS Security Service Engineer in Edinburgh. Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Manager, the role will entail the service and maintenance of Security Systems, access IP CCTV and VMS Platforms, working for our prestigious Financial and Government customers.
The Role
- Attend and undertake servicing of security systems, access, IP CCTV and VMS Platforms.
- Attend sites and undertake reactive fault-finding visits and maintenance of installed products.
- Understand specifications, drawings and design standards to ensure the systems are installed, serviced and maintained to the clients brief and standard.
- Solution finding and problem-solving mentality and methodology.
- Meet deadlines including predefined target times, first fix dates and PMV dates.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with the service team and management regarding customer issues or site problems.
- Awareness of Health & Safety.
- Carry out all paperwork and electronic reporting to the service team promptly.
- Always present a professional appearance.
- Active team member of on call service rota.
- Commercial awareness to ensure the job is delivered within the timescale allocated.
The Candidate
- Previous industry experience is essential
- Good timekeeping

- Dynamic, forward thinking and ambitious
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Computer literate
- Full UK Driving Licence
Requirements:
- Experience in servicing of security alarm systems, CCTV and Access
- PMV delivery of inspections
- Hold current qualifications or have relevant experience in security alarm systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Knowledge of Galaxy Intruder, IP CCTV & Access Control systems
- Pacom equipment knowledge would be advantageous
- Understanding of service delivery and current standards
