Full job description
Job Summary
We are looking for excellent people to help with assembly, soldering, testing, inspection and most of all have fun doing it! Our ideal candidate has experience of an electronics manufacturing environment or soldering, but we love people with strong mechanical knowledge and experience in assembly using both hand and power tools. As a Production Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently within our new, larger site in St Ives.
Responsibilities
- Assemble various components and products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assembly tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of assembled products to ensure they meet quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Assist in the inventory management of materials and components used in production.
- We are a small but agile and supportive team who flex when needed to make sure the team as a whole can achieve what it needs to for our customers.
Must haves:
- Great attitude, curiosity and sense of humour
- Willingness to learn, work flexibly and delight our customers
- Team player with a great work ethic
Great to haves (but not essential):
- Soldering or PCB manufacture experience
- Experience of cabling/wiring assembly
- Experience of lean manufacturing and working in medical/aerospace ( ISO13485/AS9100) environments
