Baltic Apprenticeships are delighted to be working in partnership with Northern Arch Learning Partnership to recruit their next IT Apprentice.
Northern Arch Learning Partnership is an ambitious Multi-Academy Trust, bringing together schools and colleges from early years through to post-16 education to create a happy, healthy and successful learning community. With collaboration, aspiration, inclusion and empowerment at the heart of everything they do, the Trust is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of young people while embracing innovation and technology to support outstanding education across its academies.
As an IT Apprentice, you'll join a supportive and experienced IT team, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of modern technologies. You'll provide technical support across multiple school sites, develop valuable industry skills, and work towards a nationally recognised qualification all while helping to keep technology running smoothly for staff and students across the Trust.
A Typical Day in the Job:
Provide first- and second-line IT support to staff across multiple sites, resolving hardware, software, network and user account issues through face-to-face, telephone, email and helpdesk support.
Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, Macs, Chromebooks, mobile devices, printers and other IT equipment, ensuring systems remain operational and up to date.
Support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and endpoint management solutions including Microsoft Intune, SCCM and JAMF, assisting with device deployment, software updates and security maintenance.
Create and manage user accounts, passwords and permissions, while supporting staff onboarding with account setup and equipment configuration.
Assist with maintaining wired and wireless network infrastructure, troubleshooting connectivity issues and supporting virtual environments and wider IT infrastructure projects.
Maintain accurate support documentation, follow IT policies and security procedures, escalate complex issues when required, and use technical resources to deliver effective solutions.
Deliver excellent customer service by building positive relationships with staff, contributing to IT improvement projects, and providing on-site technical support across multiple locations as needed.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
£16,000 per annum
Monday to Thursday 8:30am till 5:00pm
4:30pm Finish on a Friday
1 hour lunch break
32 days annual leave
Access to on-site gym facilities

Exposure to a wide range of enterprise technologies including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, VMware, Intune, SCCM, JAMF and Zendesk
