Full job description
We are seeking a dynamic Area Sales Manager (Dealers Channel) who will be responsible for growing Mute’s presence across UK and Ireland through strategic sales development and strong partner relationships. You will be based in the United Kingdom and collaborate closely with our global commercial team to ensure that our award-winning modular pods and acoustic solutions reach the most influential clients. An essential part of this role is to leverage our London showroom in Clerkenwell, Europe’s largest district for contract showrooms and a hub for architects and specifiers (www.clerkenwellshowrooms.com), to actively demonstrate the functionality and versatility of our products.
Why join Mute?
Global reach. Entrepreneurial mindset. Join a fast-growing company with nearly 250 employees, 400+ distribution partners, flagship showrooms across Europe and award-winning acoustic solutions.
Award-winning innovation. Represent premium products recognised with Best of NeoCon Gold, Mixology Product of the Year, HiP Awards and the Red Dot Design Award.
Real ownership. Real growth. Take ownership of your market, influence commercial strategy and grow your career as Mute continues its international expansion.
Innovation with purpose. Work in a company committed to continuous product innovation, sustainability and ESG.
Competitive package & environment. We offer a competitive base salary and performance‑based bonus (up to 30% of base salary). The bonus structure is designed to reward delivery against agreed sales targets and broader commercial objectives across the UK and Ireland region. As the face of our London showroom, you will work in the heart of Clerkenwell’s design district, surrounded by the latest innovations and thought leaders in the industry.
What you’ll do:
- Drive Mute’s sales growth across UK and Ireland by developing and executing regional go-to-market strategies aligned with global business objectives.
- Build and expand a strong network of distributors and partners, providing them with the tools and support needed to succeed.
- Grow a high-value network – develop relationships with architects and design-build firms, expanding our UK footprint and opening new business opportunities.
- Turn the Clerkenwell showroom into a hub of influence – host inspiring events, product demos and thought-leadership sessions that attract and engage top industry players.
- Own the regional sales pipeline and revenue targets, ensuring effective forecasting and CRM management in close collaboration with the Global Commercial team.
- Spot and win opportunities early – stay close to market trends, identify upcoming projects and proactively secure key clients and flagship realizations.
- Collaborate to deliver impact – work with international teams, architects and ESG experts to create tailored, high-value solutions for the UK market.
- Be the face of Mute – represent the brand at key events, build visibility and strengthen our position as a market leader.
- Build relationships where it matters – balance time between client visits, showroom collaboration, industry networking and strategic project coordination to drive opportunities across the UK.
- Influence strategy with insights – share market intelligence, trends and opportunities to shape Mute’s growth in the UK.
What you bring:
- At least 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the architecture, design & build, furniture or interior design sectors in the UK.
- Strong experience in managing distributor and dealer relationships, developing regional partner networks, implementing growth strategies and supporting partners through training, joint business planning and market development activities.
- Understanding of the UK architecture and design-build community, especially among emerging professionals and young leaders.
- Experienced in working within international business structures and collaborating with cross functional teams, partners and stakeholders across diverse markets and cultures.
- Familiarity with the real estate and workplace fit-out market; ability to track project pipelines and engage major end users directly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading workshops and delivering training.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages (e.g., Polish, German or French) are an asset.
- Self-starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage travel schedules, events and remote work effectively.
- Proficiency with CRM and office software; data-driven approach to lead management and reporting.
Nice to have:
- Experience with modular construction, acoustic products or flexible workspace solutions.
- Understanding of sustainability and ESG trends in workplace design.
Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in London EC1V 0NB
