Area Manager – Retail Cleaning & Facilities Management

Location: Oxford and surrounding area
Salary: £35,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading retail support services provider for an Area Manager to oversee Retail Cleaning and Facilities Management operations across Oxfordshire and surrounding area

This role is ideal for an experienced Retail Cleaning Manager, Supervisor, or existing Area Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing multi-site retail operations.

The Role:

You will take responsibility for multiple retail cleaning contracts, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and service delivery across all sites while supporting and developing on-site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day retail cleaning operations across multiple sites.
  • Ensure exceptional cleaning standards are consistently delivered.
  • Manage, coach, and support site-based Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients and stakeholders.
  • Carry out regular audits, inspections, and performance reviews.
  • Monitor staffing, labour costs, budgets, and KPI performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Support recruitment, training, and employee development.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and service enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within Retail Cleaning or Facilities Management.
  • Experience managing cleaning operations across multiple sites.
  • Background as a Cleaning Manager, Supervisor, or Area Manager.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Experience working within fast-paced retail environments.
  • Ability to manage budgets, audits, and service delivery targets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Flexible approach to travel across the region.
