Due to an increase in numbers, we require a Casual level 3 or above Early Years Practitioner to join our team.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team as a bank member of staff. In this role, you will be required to be flexible to work on an as and when needed basis, covering staff holidays, sickness and busy periods of time. We do own other nurseries in the area too, so some flexibility to be able to cover at other sites is necessary too.
Duties
- Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
- Manage daily routines, ensuring that children's needs are met throughout the day.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development accurately.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain high standards of care and education.
- Support children in their social interactions, encouraging positive behaviour and conflict resolution.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and overall experience for children.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare, level 2/3 minimum
- Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Ability to drive initiatives that promote learning and engagement within the nursery setting.
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices is advantageous.

Pay: £13.03-£13.50 per hour
