Laboratory Analyst (Full-time, Permanent)

What is a Laboratory Analyst at Prinova?

The Laboratory Analyst works as part of the Quality Control Laboratory and will be responsible for the analysis of samples, chemical and consumable upkeep, waste and safety records, routine equipment calibration and maintenance, and managing their daily work allocation.

What to expect?

  • Work as part of the team to prepare and coordinate daily activities in the laboratory relating to the analysis of samples in the laboratory.
  • Conducting vitamin and mineral analysis to achieve product release within agreed metrics.
  • General health & safety of laboratory within the laboratory.
  • Maintain good hygiene and housekeeping at all times.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments.
  • Check analytical results and issue reports.
  • Required to follow up on analytical issues and conduct trouble-shooting investigations.
  • Assist in investigating failures.
  • Work with the other laboratory staff to participate in customer P-tests.
  • Assist in analytical method development/transfer and validation plus report writing.
  • Have the opportunity to be involved in different internal projects.

  • Methodical with great attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously, fast learner, willing to take initiatives and investigate issues with minimal guidance
  • Self-Starter – Able to prioritise work to adhere to tight deadlines
  • IT proficient in the main Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experienced in HPLC analysis and methodology, LC-MS, UPC2 or ICP experience would be beneficial.
  • Completed a science based A-levels to a satisfactory grade. Higher education at HND or degree level is preferred, but not essential.
  • 2-3 years of laboratory experience in the Food/Pharmaceutical industry in a QC or R&D capacity.
