Full job description

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in fresh produce who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high standards.

About the Role

Quality is at the heart of everything we do, and so is our people. We're looking for a driven Product Specialist to become a key decision-maker in protecting product quality, supporting business performance, and ensuring our customers receive the very best fruit, every time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor product quality from intake, storage and processing through to dispatch.
  • Support quality control activities, including intake assessments, in-process checks and final inspections.
  • Assess fruit quality through appearance, aroma, texture and flavour evaluations.
  • Ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
  • Identify non-conforming products and ensure appropriate segregation and escalation.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance.
  • Accurately record quality information and maintain system updates.
  • Monitor shelf life and proactively highlight any quality or stock risks.
  • Support sample preparation and quality investigations where required.
  • Provide quality insight to support stock allocation and production decisions.
  • Work closely with Production, QC, Technical and Commercial teams to communicate quality concerns and drive resolution.
  • To continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste and improving product performance.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role, including working every other weekend.
