Full job description

Art Retail Sales - In Gallery (Hackney Downs) & Livestream

Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

Sound like you?

  • You're a strong salesperson who loves talking to people
  • You build rapport quickly and know how to turn interest into a sale
  • You're motivated by results, commission and earning potential
  • You're confident on camera and would be comfortable livestreaming throughout the day

We're rethinking how art is sold.

Traditional art galleries rely on people discovering them and walking through the door. We take a different approach.
By combining a contemporary retail gallery (in Hackney) with live social media broadcasting, we're able to showcase artwork to both in-person visitors and online audiences throughout the day.
The result is a unique environment that combines a gallery, retail sales floor and livestreaming studio in one - helping more people discover, engage with and purchase original and limited-edition artwork.

The Role

This is a sales role first and foremost.
You'll spend your shift doing one of two things:

  • Welcoming visitors in store and helping them discover artwork they'll love
  • Livestreaming on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, showcasing artwork and interacting with viewers

When customers enter the gallery, your attention shifts entirely to them.
When the gallery is quiet, you'll be back live.
The livestream runs throughout the day and forms a key part of how we attract attention, build awareness and introduce new people to the gallery.
This isn't about producing polished content or becoming an influencer. It's about being comfortable talking naturally on camera, engaging with viewers and helping more people discover the artwork we represent.
Whether you're speaking to customers in person or viewers online, your objective is the same: to generate sales by connecting, engaging and converting.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Welcoming and engaging visitors/walk-ins
  • Guiding customers through the sales process
  • Hosting livestreams throughout your shift
  • Capturing visitor details and maintaining CRM records
  • Following up with enquiries and leads
  • Supporting occasional gallery events
  • Working towards sales targets and maximising commission earnings

You Don't Need

  • Art industry experience
  • Gallery experience
  • Luxury retail experience

You bring the personality, drive and sales ability.
We'll teach you everything else you need to know about the artwork.

What You'll Get

  • Base salary plus uncapped commission
  • Genuine unlimited earning potential based on performance
  • Full training on the artwork and artists
  • Significant autonomy and responsibility
  • The opportunity to run your own space day-to-day
  • A unique role combining retail sales and livestreaming

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys talking to people, loves the thrill of making sales and wants to be rewarded directly for their performance.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year

Application question(s):

  • Are you comfortable appearing on live video throughout your shift?
  • What is the most sales-focused role you've held?
  • Tell us about a sale you're proud of.
  • Why does this role interest you?

Work Location: In person
