About the Role

A position has arisen in our busy and vibrant Digital and Creative Arts department for a digital and visual arts supervisor/technician.

Applicants will need to be skilled in all aspects of visual recording, digital design and illustration, exhibiting and preferably 3D printing.

The successful candidate will provide pre class preparation and in class technical support for visual arts, graphic and digital design lecturers. They will be responsible for maintaining software, equipment and stock levels, including raising purchase orders. The candidate will also be responsible for 3D printing student design work. The postholder will also ensure that all users of machinery and equipment operate in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and undertake or coordinate machine maintenance.

They will be part of a wider supervision team responsible for supporting shows, exhibitions, and the general marketing of the department.

The postholder will be sufficiently knowledgeable to supervise digital and visual arts student-directed study sessions and, in doing so, will contribute to the development of the College’s exciting and successful creative provision.
