Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for an Art Teacher to join a Secondary School in Solihull. This is a great opportunity to be part of a great school community. Our partnership school is seeking an Art Teacher to design a creative curriculum, teaching technical skills (e.g., painting, ceramics, digital design), and fostering self-expression, for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
You will take on full class teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment and marking, parents’ evenings and report writing for KS3 and KS4 students. This is a part-time role, and the position is due to start in September till Easter.
Required Skills and Experience as an Art Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching Art within a Secondary School
  • Instructing pupils on how to use various mediums (e.g., charcoal, acrylics, clay) and teaching the foundational elements of art and design.
  • Ensuring students safely handle tools and materials.
  • Good commitment to providing a positive classroom culture
