Humly is working closely with a a well-established and inclusive secondary academy located in Waterlooville, Hampshire, serving students aged 11–16. The school is recognised for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, high expectations, and strong pastoral support network. The 'Good' Ofsted highlighted the positive relationships between staff and students, the supportive learning environment, and the school's commitment to student wellbeing

The Role:

Do you have a talent for inspiring creativity and helping young people develop confidence through artistic expression? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to join supportive secondary school environments and engage students through a variety of artistic techniques, media, and creative projects.

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Mark and assess student progress in line with curriculum expectations.
  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and the development of practical artistic skills.
  • Support students in exploring a range of artistic styles, techniques, and materials.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Art and Creative Arts department.
  • Contribute to displays, exhibitions, and wider school enrichment activities.
  • Uphold school values and create a positive learning environment where all students can thrive.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary level.
  • At least 6 months' UK teaching experience.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A creative, enthusiastic, and approachable teaching style.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for developing students' artistic abilities and creative confidence.
