Full job description

Bring Healing Through Creativity - Across Cultures, With Heart!

Are you an Art Psychotherapist with a deep understanding of how culture shapes the way we heal, grow and express ourselves?

This is not just therapy - it's storytelling through colour, connection through collage, safety through sculpture.

Do you believe in the transformative power of creativity for children who have experienced complex trauma?

If so, we need your passion, playfulness, and perspective.

About the Role:

Join a warm, inclusive, and forward-thinking team dedicated to helping children make sense of their world one sculpture at a time. You'll provide art-based therapeutic support to children and young people from a variety of cultural backgrounds, many of whom have experienced trauma, displacement, or loss.

What makes this special:

  • Work Transculturally, with sensitivity, respect and curiosity.
  • Help children reclaim their voices through creative expression.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that values emotional attunement and cultural humility.
  • Use your Art Therapy skills in a space that encourages imagination, play and purpose.

What we are looking for:

  • HCPC-Registered Art Psychotherapist.
  • Skilled in working with children with complex trauma.
  • A culturally aware, anti-oppressive lens to your work.
  • An open mind, kind heart, and a creative soul.

What you'll get:

  • A supportive, nurturing environment that values your well being.
  • Ongoing professional development with a focus on transcultural practice.
  • The chance to make a real difference in the lives of children.
  • Plus: Art supplies, laughter and the joy of watching creativity cultural healing.

If you're ready to offer children a new way to tell their stories and honour the many cultures they carry, we would love to hear from you.

Apply now and help us co-create a space where healing is colourful, compassionate, and culturally connected.

Pay: £22.00-£24.00 per hour

Education:

  • Master's (required)

Experience:
