15 hours per week, Term time only

Salary: Point 21 – 26 of the Professional Service Scale, FTE £24,731 - £28,732. Actual salary £8,020 - £9,318.

About the Role

We are seeking an Art Technician with a creative approach and a passion for supporting arts education.

Working alongside the Head of Art and Senior Technician, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the department, helping pupils develop their practical and creative skills. If you are passionate about art and creativity and would enjoy supporting pupils in developing their artistic skills, we would be delighted to hear from you.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare, organise and maintain art materials, equipment and studio spaces.
  • Support pupils and staff with practical art activities and digital media.
  • Assist with photography, video editing and digital documentation of pupils' work.
  • Help prepare displays, exhibitions and moderation shows.
  • Support school and community art projects and events.
  • Work collaboratively with the Art Department to provide a safe, creative and inspiring learning environment.

What We Are Looking For

  • A qualification in Art, Design or a related subject.
  • Confidence using Adobe Creative Suite and digital editing software.
  • Experience working in a practical or creative environment.
  • An interest in supporting young people's creativity and artistic development.
