The Role

As Studio Assistant Manager, you are a key leader within the Strong Pilates Warren Street team. You are responsible for delivering an exceptional client experience, supporting membership growth, maintaining operational excellence, and helping drive the culture and performance of the studio. You lead by example on the floor and behind the scenes, acting as a trusted support to the Studio Manager.

Key Responsibilities

COMMUNITY & CLIENT EXPERIENCE

  • Be a visible and authentic ambassador for Strong Pilates – Warren Street
  • Build genuine, long-term relationships with clients and foster a strong sense of community
  • Deliver an exceptional in-studio experience from first visit through to long-term membership
  • Ensure client profiles, notes, and preferences are accurately maintained
  • Proactively engage clients to support retention, referrals, and community growth
  • Support and contribute to membership, retail, and promotional sales with effective and polished sales skills.

STUDIO OPERATIONS

  • Ensure the studio is immaculately presented at all times
  • Oversee daily studio reset between classes including: Cleaning and maintenance of Rowformers and equipment, Washing, soaking, and preparation of eucalyptus towels and Sock washing and organisation
  • Identify maintenance or operational issues and escalate or resolve efficiently
  • Support smooth class transitions and peak-time operations

ADMINISTRATION & MANAGEMENT

  • Manage all client communications including walk-ins, phone enquiries, and email
  • Support membership conversion and proactive sales strategies
  • Assist with studio marketing initiatives including: Managing @strong_warrenstreet Instagram and Facebook channels, Creating and sending EDM newsletters and Supporting local marketing and community activations
  • Confident use of HAPANA including: Class scheduling, New client activations & Membership management and suspensions
  • Support staff rostering and clear communication across the team
  • Assist in training, onboarding, and performance support of studio staff
  • Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and accountability in day-to-day decision making

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a leadership, assistant manager, or senior studio role (preferred)
  • Strong multitasking and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident with sales conversations and client conversion
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and commercially aware
  • Natural ability to motivate, connect with, and support clients
  • High attention to detail and operational standards
  • Comfortable working flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
