Full-Time September 2026 Start Mainstream Primary School Romford
Are you a performer, actor, musician, dancer, or creative graduate looking to use your skills in a rewarding full-time role?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Romford is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a creative individual who is passionate about working with children and wants to gain valuable experience within education.
Whether you’re considering a future career in teaching or simply want to use your creativity to inspire young learners, this role offers the chance to make a real difference every day.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers, supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. You will help deliver engaging lessons, encourage pupil participation, and provide additional support to children who need it most.
Responsibilities include:
Early Years (EYFS)
- Supporting children through play-based learning.
- Assisting with phonics, early reading, writing, and numeracy.
- Encouraging children’s communication and social development.
Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2
- Supporting pupils in English, Maths, and foundation subjects.
- Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Helping pupils develop confidence and independence within the classroom.
Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Providing additional support for children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, and other additional learning needs.
- Building positive relationships with pupils.
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
