Art Therapist
Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 per annum
Location: Greater Manchester & Derbyshire
Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Start Date: September 2026

An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate and creative Art Therapist to support children and young people across a group of specialist education settings.

This is a multi-site role requiring travel between provisions throughout Greater Manchester and Derbyshire. The successful candidate will deliver creative therapeutic interventions designed to support emotional wellbeing, resilience, communication, and self-expression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group art therapy sessions
  • Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and additional needs
  • Develop tailored therapeutic intervention plans
  • Work collaboratively with education staff, families, and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports
  • Promote emotional wellbeing through creative therapeutic approaches

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy/Art Therapy
  • HCPC registration essential
  • Experience supporting children and young people desirable
  • Experience working within SEN or specialist settings advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
