Full job description

A south east London design & build company is looking for a freelance Set Dresser to refurbish and make bespoke decorations at their warehouses. This is a hands on role which will suit someone that enjoys practical work, getting things done and working as part of a team.

Our ideal candidate will have a positive can do attitude with the ability to take instruction and work through problems when they arise. The work can be physical with regular manual handling, so it is crucial that H&S rules are followed and activities are carried out with consideration for others.

We are open to applications from candidates with limited experience of working in a manufacturing environment.

Typical Tasks:

  • Package decorations so that they can be delivered to site safely without being damaged
  • Handle stock and decorations safely from storage to production spaces
  • Support the Operations dept. with the loading/unloading of Trucks & Vans when required
  • Maintain a tidy working area

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to meet targets & deadlines
  • Maintain levels of concentration and quality control in both repetitive and complicated tasks
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Good attention to detail
  • You are punctual throughout the day
  • A positive team member, take personal responsibility and pride in your work
  • Consider the impact of the work you do upon your fellow team-mates on site
  • Always follow H&S procedures and rules
