Full job description

MY (after school) ART CLUB is an independent after school art club that teaches art to children aged 5 to 11 in primary schools in Hertfordshire.

We are currently looking for an Art Teacher to deliver primary-age children art lessons (All lessons and supplies provided) in the Rickmansworth and Bushey area.

Starting date: September 2026

The position is for 4 hours per week in 2 primary schools (2 hours in each school) situated in Hertfordshire (Rickmansworth and Bushey area).

After school hours only approx 3.15pm - 5.15pm.

We are looking for a well organised, reliable, positive and energetic, passionate about art individual with good classroom management skills and communication skills.

Experience of working with children is desirable.

* Fine Art, or Art and/or Design degree or similar essential.

* Drawing skills essential.

* Driving licence and car essential.

If you do not meet the essential requirements, your application will not be considered.

The role includes working closely with the art project manager. Setting up and packing down after delivering the art session, teaching drawing and fine art technics, working one on one and in a group with the children, encouraging and supporting their development in individual ways according to their needs. You will be required to be register with the DBS Update Service (enhanced DBS).

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: £23.00 per hour
