Our latest venture involves opening a retail shop at RAF Lakenheath in the Exchange complex, and we’re looking for enthusiastic new team members to help us with this exciting opportunity.

With on-the-job training and a relaxed atmosphere, we offer a vibrant and supportive work environment in a small, friendly, and sociable team.

Join our small but dynamic Personal Images and Glass Yard team!

We’re seeking an enthusiastic individual with shopfront experience and an interest in the art/design industry to work four days a week, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, initially Tuesday to Friday with a potential to increase to 5 days in the future.

As a Trainee Creative Studio / Shop Coordinator & Maker, you will play a key role in our shop, assisting customers, taking orders, and using on-site equipment to produce some items. You’ll also work in our studio in Mildenhall, producing orders for the shop and online orders.

Prior experience is preferred, but full training will be provided in all areas.

  • Maintain stock levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure the shop and workspace are clean, efficient, and well-organised.
  • Contribute to photography for social media platforms, as applicable.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Possesses excellent IT skills, ideally with knowledge of Microsoft systems. Familiarity with design software such as CorelDraw is a bonus.

  • Pays attention to detail and works quickly and accurately, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Holds a degree-level qualification (preferred).
  • Has previous retail or office experience (preferred).
  • Thrives in a dynamic work environment where adaptability is key.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own transport.
  • Has no prior criminal convictions. (Full CRB and background checks will be carried out for security clearance to access the RAF base. Failure to pass these checks will result in the termination of the job offer.)
