Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated Arts coach to join our team and provide creative and educational support to our young people. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess strong communication skills, and be passionate about helping students succeed.

Job Role

  • Deliver 1:1 and 2:1 creative sessions
  • Build young people's knowledge and skillsets in creative arts
  • Develop individualised learning plans based on students' individual needs
  • Assist students in understanding subject-specific content
  • Provide feedback to students and parents on progress
  • Utilise various teaching methods to engage students
  • Support students with special education needs

Requirements

  • Experience working within alternative provision setting (this is not compulsory)
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience working with SEND and neurodiverse young people
  • Comfortable working in an environment around other coaches and other young people
  • Proficiency in tutoring and educating students
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous
  • Diverse range of creative disciplines required (see below for desired)
  • Illustration, fine art, textiles, graphic design, design technology, photography

Desired Requirements

  • Full driving licence
  • Understanding of Adobe creative Cloud (preferable but not mandatory)
