Job Summary

Craft Holiday organiser

Permanent 26 hours per week
Tuesday - Thursday 9am till 4pm and Sunday pm 2pm till 7pm

Gartmore house offers a choice of over 40 art and craft holidays running almost every week of the year.

Guests come from all over the world where they join with a small group and enjoy a holiday. Learning, dabling and improving on one of the art and craft holidays we offer.
From beginners to Picasso's they enjoy a holiday with like-minded people doing something enjoyable.

Each week, up to 4 different art and craft holidays are on offer, from patchwork quilting to painting, corsetry to lace making.

A guests joins up to 10 others in their group to pursue their own particular choice for the week.

Arriving on a Sunday afternoon they meet their subject tutor/ host, selected for their friendly approach and passion for their art or craft.

After a full cooked or very healthy breakfast, on a Monday to Thursday they head to their workshop, they stop for lunch and dinner in our licensed restaurant.

Every evening all the guests, enjoying one of the four subjects on offer, gather for a varied programme of entertainment.

The Role
We are growing at a very fast rate.
This role is vital to ensure our guests continue to have a great time at Gartmore house.

You will ensure the guest has all the necessary information they require before they arrive.

What's included on the course.
What they want to achieve
Their travel arrangements
Do they want to use the complimentary pick up service from Stirling Station or have an airport pickup arranged at their cost.
Their dietary requirements
Their bedroom requirements, do they like bath or walk-in shower?
And after greeting those you've spoken to previously on the phone you'll check in with them throughout the week, making sure everything is running smoothly.

You will liase with the tutors
Letting them know who's joining them
Understanding how they want their workshop set-up.

You will let the Gartmore house team know what's happening to ensure when the guests and tutors arrive, it all runs smoothly

Applicant requirements

Most importantly you will be a people pleaser!. You will be passionate about making sure our guests have a brilliant time whike at Gartmore house.

But it's only tight admin. that will make sure everything runs smoothly.
We will ask shortlisted applicants to complete an administration aptitude test,
So, if it's for you, you'll love making lists.
You'll be comfortable with Teams.
We have a great booking engine, and a key part of this role is making sure its constantly updated and running smoothly. It's only as good as the team using it.
