Full job description

Office-based near Alderminster, Stratford-upon-Avon | Full-time or shorter working hours considered

EFX designs and manufactures bespoke awards and trophies for clients and events around the world.

Our projects range from individual bespoke awards to large awards programmes, and the work you produce will become part of real events and celebrations.

We’re looking for an Artworker to join our team, preparing accurate artwork and proofs for production across a wide range of projects. While artworking will be at the heart of the role, there will also be opportunities to get involved in award design and develop your creative skills.

This is an office-based role at our Ettington site, working closely with our design and production teams. We’re open to full-time or shorter working hours for the right person.

The Role

Working alongside our designers and production team, you’ll be responsible for taking approved designs and preparing the artwork and information required for manufacture.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Producing artwork and proofs for client approval
  • Preparing accurate, production-ready artwork
  • Setting winner names, categories and other personalised information
  • Checking spelling, layout, sizing and positioning
  • Working with client-supplied logos and brand assets
  • Making artwork amendments following client feedback
  • Preparing files for different manufacturing and finishing processes
  • Working with designers and production colleagues to resolve artwork queries
  • Getting involved in award design where appropriate
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Maintaining accurate files and artwork versions

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need:

  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience in artwork, graphic design, graphic production, reprographics or a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good typography and layout skills
  • Excellent spelling and proofreading skills
  • Confidence working with detailed and variable information
  • Good organisation and time-management skills
  • The ability to work quickly and accurately when required
  • A calm, practical approach when priorities change or deadlines are tight
  • The ability to manage several jobs at once and prioritise effectively
  • A collaborative approach to working with designers and production teams

Experience preparing artwork for manufacturing, print, engraving, signage or other physical products would be useful but isn’t essential.

About the Role

The nature of the awards industry means that final information can sometimes arrive close to production deadlines. You’ll need to be comfortable working to short lead times when required, prioritising your workload and maintaining accuracy when things get busy.

It’s a varied role that combines detailed artwork and production work with opportunities to contribute creatively. You’ll also get to see projects progress from artwork through manufacture to the finished award.

  • Free on-site parking
  • Opportunity to attend awards events and see EFX work in use
