We are thrilled to offer an outstanding opportunity to join the Cotswold Contemporary Gallery team in Marlow as an Art Consultant!

Cotswold Contemporary is part of a highly successful and growing gallery group, and we are seeking a motivated individual to become part of our dynamic team. An art background is not essential; however, a strong track record in sales, paired with enthusiasm for presenting and selling luxury artwork to our discerning clients, is essential. We will welcome you into the exciting world of contemporary art and provide the support you need to become an exceptional member of our gallery team.

About the Role

As an Art Consultant, you will:

- Plan and prioritise your personal sales activities and customer contact in order to meet and exceed personal sales targets set by the Gallery Manager.

- Develop and manage your own client portfolio, maintaining regular contact to generate new sales opportunities.

- Act as a proactive self‑starter, confidently engaging with current and potential clients both in person and over the phone.

- At all times aim to deliver outstanding customer service and delight your sophisticated client base.

- Ensure that the gallery is clean, tidy and of the standard to be expected in a high-end luxury retail environment.

- Contribute to the merchandising, display, and overall presentation of the gallery.

- Play a key part in the planning and success of marketing events and gallery exhibitions.

As part of a small gallery team, this appointment offers a broad and exciting role, covering all aspects of sales — from face‑to‑face consultancy, to engineering sales through tailored offers and client account management.

What We’re Looking For

- Ideally 3+ years retail sales experience

- Minimum 1 year of face‑to‑face sales experience.

- Minimum 1 year of experience working with luxury goods.

- Strong ability to generate and cultivate your own sales opportunities.

- Someone happy to use the phone to contact clients.

- Excellent customer service skills.

- A warm, outgoing personality and a genuine interest in art.

Salary & Benefits

Base Salary c£26,500

On‑target commission structure of approximately £2,000–£4,000 annually (uncapped), along with generous employee discounts on a fantastic range of contemporary art.
