Job Summary
We are seeking an experience dedicated Mould and Asbestos Removal Operative to join our specialised team. Licensed Asbestos & Mould Removal Operative would be an advantage with ideally 1 year experience in this feild. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely removing asbestos-containing materials from various sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires a strong attention to detail, physical fitness, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills further within the construction and hazardous materials industry.

Duties

  • Safely remove Mould and asbestos materials from buildings, roofs, and other structures in accordance with legal and safety standards
  • Set up containment areas and ensure proper sealing of work zones to prevent fibre dispersal
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations
  • Operate specialised tools and equipment for asbestos removal, including hand tools and power tools
  • Dispose of asbestos waste in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies
  • Conduct site inspections before, during, and after removal activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures
  • Assist with site preparation, including minor carpentry or masonry work as required for containment setup
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

Experience

  • Previous experience in asbestos removal or related hazardous materials handling is essential; ongoing training will be provided
  • Knowledge of construction trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or construction painting is advantageous
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools utilised in construction or industrial environments
  • Experience in fabrication or working with specialised equipment is beneficial
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to asbestos handling and removal processes
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding environments
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance with all safety standards

Pay: From £150.00 per day

Licence/Certification:

  • 1 year of experience in asbestos and mould remediation. (preferred)
