SC / BPSS Cleared Multi-Skilled / Construction Labourers & Trades – Soft Strip – Reading (Immediate Start) We are recruiting Multi-Skilled Construction Labourers and Tradesmen to carry out soft strip works on a live project in Reading, in the stadium area. Longer‑term work may be available for candidates holding Traffic Marshal / Banksman or Site Access Traffic Marshal tickets.
This role is ideal for operatives with experience on internal strip‑out / demolition who already hold BPSS and/or SC security clearance and can start immediately.Key details

• Location: Reading (stadium area)
• Start date: Immediate start (from Monday)
• Duration: Ongoing contract (with potential for extension)
• Hours: Monday–Friday, full days (overtime and weekends may be available)
• Pay: £19.00–£28.00 per hour CIS, depending on experience and clearance level

Duties

• Internal soft strip works – removal of fixtures, fittings, ceilings, partitions and non‑structural elements
• General site labouring – site clearance, waste handling, assisting trades, keeping work areas safe and tidy
• Assisting with manual handling of materials, skips, and protection works
• Working safely in a live, security‑sensitive environment, following all site rules and RAMS

Requirements

• Minimum BPSS and/or SC Security Clearance (you must be able to provide evidence or be currently sponsored and All candidates must have successfully completed BPPS Screening check within the last six months.)
• CSCS card (essential for site access)
• Proven construction / demolition / soft strip experience
• Full PPE and ability to travel reliably to site for an early start
• Good attitude, reliability and ability to follow instructions and work as part of a teamThis position is primarily for soft‑strip labouring work.

However, we expect to have ongoing Traffic Marshal / gate access control and welfare labouring roles once the soft‑strip phase is complete.

• So...Candidates who already hold Traffic Marshal / Banksman or Site Access Traffic Marshal qualifications may be offered longer‑term work following the initial labouring phase.

Desirable (not essential):

• Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, Face Fit or similar site‑safety certifications
• Prior experience on defence, secure logistics, data‑centre or high‑security sites
