Overview
We are seeking a dedicated non licenced Asbestos Removal Operative to join our specialised team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently removing asbestos-containing materials from various sites, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Duties

  • Safely remove asbestos materials from residential, commercial, or industrial properties in accordance with legal and safety guidelines
  • Prepare work sites by setting up containment areas and ensuring proper ventilation where required
  • Use specialised equipment and tools to handle asbestos safely, including protective clothing and breathing apparatus
  • Dispose of asbestos waste in compliance with hazardous waste regulations
  • Conduct thorough site inspections before, during, and after removal procedures
  • Maintain detailed records of work carried out and materials removed for documentation purposes
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while prioritising safety

Skills

  • Experience or knowledge in construction-related trades such as carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or fabrication is advantageous but not essential
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures related to hazardous materials handling
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and site plans accurately
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks in various environmental conditions
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment
