Overview

Due to the number of secured projects we are looking to expand our team of licenced Asbestos Removal Operatives working at a former MOD Site in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Lawson Environmental is a sister company of Lawson Demolition licenced to work with Asbestos for over 12 years. The right candidates will join our asbestos team as an Asbestos Removal Operative and play a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient asbestos projects. You will be responsible for safely removing asbestos-containing materials from various sites prior to demolition, adhering strictly to asbestos and health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Working in accordance with Control of Asbestos Regulations.
  • Prepare work sites by setting up containment areas, barriers, and signage to ensure safety during asbestos removal.
  • Safely handle, remove, and dispose of asbestos materials following strict regulatory guidelines and company procedures.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to assist with demolition, cutting, or removal tasks related to asbestos-containing materials.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of work areas to identify asbestos hazards and ensure all removal activities meet compliance standards.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to minimize risk during asbestos handling.

Skills & Qualifications

  • CSCS Card
  • Asbestos Operative Training (UKATA Approved)
  • Asbestos Medical certification
  • Face Fit certification
  • PASMA / IPAF Beneficial
  • Knowledge of asbestos regulations, safe removal practices, and waste disposal procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail for site inspections and safety compliance checks.
  • Effective communication skills for teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.
