QUALIFIED & FULLY TRAINED ASBESTOS REMOVAL OPERATIVE FOR LICENSED ASBESTOS REMOVAL WORK (must be local to Liversedge.

Must have licensed asbestos removal experience and valid asbestos removal certificates, valid asbestos medical and face fit certificates.

£19.50 per hour (paid door to door at your full rate), estimated 9.5-10 hours paid per day plus all overtime for weekends and nights and working away paid at a higher rate.

£2,000 annual attendance bonus

Extra pay for working away from home (with expenses also paid)

Extra pay for weekend and night working when available

28 days paid holiday per annum

BLS Asbestos are looking for experienced and reliable Asbestos Removal Operatives to join our team, carrying out licensed and non-licensed asbestos removal works across a variety of sites.

We are looking for operatives with good industry knowledge, a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

The successful candidates will play an important role in carrying out asbestos removal works safely and efficiently, following approved plans of work, risk assessments, relevant legislation, HSE guidance and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out licensed and non-licensed asbestos removal works across various sites.
• Follow approved plans of work, risk assessments, method statements and safe working procedures.
• Assist with the correct setup and maintenance of enclosures, airlocks, decontamination units and associated equipment where required.
• Wear and correctly use the required PPE and respiratory protective equipment.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout all projects.
• Ensure asbestos removal work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
• Follow all relevant legislation, HSE guidance and company procedures.
• Complete site paperwork and daily records as required.
• Identify potential hazards and report unsafe practices promptly.
• Work effectively as part of a team and maintain a professional attitude on site.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in the asbestos removal industry.
• Experience working on licensed and non-licensed asbestos removal projects.
• Relevant asbestos qualifications and training appropriate to the role.
• Valid asbestos medical and face-fit certification.
• A good understanding of asbestos safety procedures and safe working practices.
• A reliable, hardworking and professional attitude.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from site supervisors.
• A commitment to high standards of safety, workmanship and customer service.
• A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
