We are HIRING at Furn Contracts Ltd for a Storeperson to join the team!

Location: Basildon, Essex
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, Onsite
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm and Weekend Work Avaliable.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive and organised Storeperson to join our team at our Basildon head office. This is a hands-on role that is essential to ensuring our operations run efficiently by maintaining our plant, equipment, and stores to the highest standards.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our stores, plant, and equipment, ensuring everything is maintained, organised, and ready to support operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out thorough inspections of all plant and equipment, including damage checks, basic maintenance, and monitoring servicing and certification expiry dates.
-Manage and maintain the company's plant inventory.
-Load and unload plant, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently.
-Receive, inspect, and process deliveries.
-Maintain accurate stock control through regular stock checks, ensuring the security, identification, location, and availability of all stock.
-Keep the stores, warehouse, and external compound clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
-Pick and prepare equipment and materials for projects in accordance with loading lists.
-Deliver plant, materials, and equipment to project sites when required.
-Liaise professionally with suppliers, contractors, and internal project teams.
-Support the wider operations team with general warehouse and logistics duties as required.

Skills and Experience:
We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

-Minimum of two years' experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics environment.
-Good understanding of stock control and inventory management.
-Basic knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
-General maintenance skills and mechanical awareness.
-Physically fit and capable of safely handling and moving heavy plant and equipment.
-Good administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
-Strong attention to detail and excellent time management.
-Previous experience working within the asbestos industry.
- Experience managing plant and equipment in the asbestos industry

Requirements:
-Full UK Driving Licence.
-Ability and confidence to tow trailers.
-Able to commute to our Basildon headquarters on a daily basis.
-Right to work in the UK.
